Conviviendo Podcast

Our student-run podcast, Conviviendo, is dedicated to fostering unity and understanding across diverse communities. We strive to create an inclusive space where everyone, regardless of nationality or immigration status, can share their stories, perspectives, and cultures.

Arts & Conversations Series

Our sessions allow students to build community as we engage in storytelling. Our goal is to empower our students in their immigrant journey and use art as a way to synthesize our stories. 

When: Fall and spring

Eligibility: 6-12th grade immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.

Summer Program

Students analyze the role of immigrants and refugees in the community, media, government, and policy and then take collective action on a community art project.

When: every year, mid-June – end of July

Eligibility: 6-12th grade immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.

Mentorship Program

Conviviendo Podcast

The Conviviendo Podcast is all about building a strong community where immigrant, refugee and first generation youth can share their stories through digital media. This program helps students feel empowered to tell their stories, connect with others, and learn new podcasting skills.

When: Year-round

Eligibility: 6-12th immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.

Speakers’ Collective

Students cultivate a community of advocates by running informational workshops at conferences, events, and meetings with students, educators, service providers, families.

When: Year-round

Eligibility: 9-12th immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.

Youth Leadership Council

This program gives students the space to put their leadership skills into practice by helping to advise and shape Convivir’s programming.

When: Year-round

Eligibility: 9th grade- college-level immigrant, refugee, and first-generation students.

Community-Wide Programs

We offer community-wide engagement that highlights an immigrant and refugee friendly ecosystem.

Community Events

Convivir hosts one community event every semester where students and their families can gather together and get to know each other!

Food, music, prizes and activities.

When: May, July, and December

Eligibility: Immigrant and refugee families, including parents, Convlvir students, and their siblings. We welcome new families!

Family Advising

Families new to Convivir meet with our outreach coordinators to identify areas of need, place students in the right program, and outline expectations.

When: made by appointment with outreach coordinator

Eligibility: immigrant and refugee families in Colorado
