Join our Board

We are looking for 4 new board directors to join our current board for a 3-year term starting in January 2025.
Deadline to submit an application is Friday, October 25th, 2024.

Who should apply?

We are looking for professionals who live in Colorado and represent a variety of industries including (but not limited) to: corporate finance, development, human resources, immigration law, technology, education, fundraising, health, housing, construction, hospitality, etc.

Your level in your current workplace does not matter (you can be entry level, or you can be an executive).
We are looking for seasoned professionals who have a passion and willingness to help the undocumented youth and communities in Denver and Aurora, Colorado. DACA-recipients are encouraged to apply!

We are hoping to find candidates that have a personal alignment to our mission and a connection to diverse immigrant experience and communities. As a board, we want to be representative of immigration statuses and ethnic/racial backgrounds of students served.
What will you do as a Board Director?
Board Directors are the strategic and fundraising brain of Convivir. Our board meetings are hosted virtually once every two months for an hour and a half. This is because our board consists of members who live in Colorado and other parts of the country. During these meetings, we will discuss and make decisions that help drive the strategic and fundraising direction of the organization.
You will bring diverse resources and networks to help Convivir continue driving our mission and providing support to immigrant, refugee and first-generation youth and their communities.

Expected hour commitment per month: 5-6 hours.

Expected to fundraise and/or donate during our annual campaigns.

Is this a paid position?

NO. Legally, board members are not allowed to receive compensation for serving on the board of a non-profit organization.

Serious applicants only.

What is the Timeline or Selection Process?

After submission, we will work together to schedule an interview call within two weeks. You will be notified about your acceptance into the board within two weeks after the interview.

New board members MUST attend the annual board retreat in Denver, CO over one weekend in January 2025.

Please make note of this and we will let you know as soon as the date has been confirmed.
Please check back later for additional openings.
